When the evidence is unclear
A good coach picks their moments. Oithere speaks only when it is reasonably sure. Silence is part of the design.
It is tempting to make a watchful product that always has something to say. Confidence is easy to fake. Usefulness is not.
Oithere is willing to say nothing.
Sure enough, or quiet
The AI behind Oithere is looking at a messy, human desktop. Windows overlap. A message arrives in the middle of a paragraph. You stand up, come back, and the same document is still in front of you.
Some of that is drift. Some of it is the work. If Oithere cannot tell, it does not guess in your face.
A wrong nudge trains you to ignore the next one. A missed nudge is almost free.
A coach picks their moments
Think of the best coach you have had. They did not comment on every rep. They watched, said nothing for a long time, and then said one thing at the moment it would land.
That is the standard for Oithere’s voice. It speaks when the drift has lasted, when the evidence is clear, and when there is something specific to say: where you are, and what you said you would be doing.
Privacy and restraint are the same instinct
The same care shows up in what Oithere refuses to keep. Screenshots are never saved or uploaded. There is no archive of your day.
A tool that is unsure should also be unwilling to keep extra evidence “just in case.” If the session needs a signal, it should find that signal now and then let it go.
A coach, not a scoreboard
Oithere is not trying to grade your attention. There is no daily score and no dashboard of failure. There is an intention, a length of time, a short debrief at the end, and a voice that calls you back when you have been away.
If we do our job, most sessions will feel uneventful. That is the point. The work was the event.
